Residents join quarterly town clean-up campaign

More than 600 volunteers collected 14 tonnes of litter across all wards.
The quarterly clean-up campaign held on Saturday 29 August drew more than 600 residents, learners and business owners.
Volunteers collected an estimated 14 tonnes of litter from storm-water drains, open spaces and the riverbank below the market. Council thanks the Sibane Business Forum for providing refreshments and gloves.
The next campaign is scheduled for Saturday 28 November 2026. Ward councillors will announce meeting points.
